Enter the world’s first cliff hanging conference hall carved in nature, above a remote Lake

There are many conference facilities in East Africa but only one which makes a dramatic difference.

This is the new conference building which is perched right on the edge of the East African Rift Valley, overlooking Lake Manyara in Northern Tanzania.

The new Lake Manyara Serena Conference Hall is a cliff hanging thriller with brains.

Meetings, workshops, presentations and conferences can be tiring, but when such events are held in a facility which transforms the atmosphere and makes delegates feel like they are floating in air without leaving the lush landscape around them, then all work suddenly starts becoming a good play.

Built on the edge of the Rift Valley wall, the new Lake Manyara Serena Conference Hall is the world’s first facility which seems to be suspended in the sky but essentially hanging over the escarpment.

Eco-Conference?

It is capable of accommodating over 120 delegates in one sitting against the background of nature.

The hall gives each and every person seated inside a spectacular sundowner view in addition to the vantage sight of Lake Manyara and its pink flamingos below as well as the blue skies above.

For observers who have taken the first glance of the newly built facility, they had this to say…

But what does the management say?

It also comes with complimentary WiFi, in case you want to share the experience with others across the world via Zoom meetings or simply video calling.

Already installed are Public Address Sound System, giant LED interactive screen for presentations, catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner is readily provided by the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, so that delegates can concentrate with tasks at hand without worrying about the dinner bell.

From its position the Serena Manyara Conference Center is going to be the continent’s first ever Convergence Center which bundles in one package, Nature, Wildlife and Work, or as somebody puts it, an ‘eco-science facility.’

It must have been designed to add another value to Tanzania’s conference tourism, being a hybrid facility consisting of the conference hall nature study center linked to the adjacent luxury lodge.

It is at the vantage point which stands in the middle of three global nature and travel destinations including Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Tarangire National Park.

From its settings, groups of scientists, researchers and students can stay at the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge and use the conference hall as an eco-science facility that allows them to study the environment right on the site without sacrificing the highly-needed creature comforts.

Natural sciences like geography, geology, biology and geology, environmental sciences and agriculture can easily be sampled from the Serena Conference which offers all these within its proximity.
