Morocco getting seven new Luxury Hotels before 2027

At the end of the year, the Radisson Collection will restore to its former glory a historic establishment in the Moroccan business capital.

Lincoln Hotel

The Lincoln Hotel, which had fallen into disrepair for several decades until one of its wings collapsed following a storm in 2009.

A meticulous renovation project, led by the Realites group, will lead to the rebirth of this emblematic hotel, built between 1916 and 1918 by the architect Hubert Bride, and distinguished – or rather distinguished – by its neo-Moorish décor and its post-Haussmann façade incorporating Moroccan decorative elements, which is a listed historic monument and will be partly rebuilt.

Located on avenue Mohammed V, in the heart of the Art Deco district, this new luxury hotel will offer 120 rooms and suites when it reopens, while a new building will house a restaurant, a coworking area and flexible seminar spaces, as well as two patios.

The whole complex will be crowned by a rooftop featuring a swimming pool, a restaurant-bar and a wellness area.

Royal Hideway

To stand in the heart of Casablanca, just a few minutes from the business district and the Casa-Port train station as well as the old medina, the Royal Hideaway Casablanca gives a new lease of life to an establishment built in 1985 and formerly marketed under the Farah banner.

Completely renovated to become a five-star hotel with a décor that plays on local aesthetic codes and the city’s Art Deco heritage, the Royal Hideaway Casablanca offers 310 rooms, including 14 suites, a swimming pool and six dining areas, some of which are rooftop. Business travellers will find eight meeting rooms, including two plenary ones.

Citadines Almaz Casablanca

Established in the Moroccan economic capital since last year, with the Citadines Almaz Casablanca located near Casablanca’s south-west ring road (pictured here), the Ascott group chain is moving closer to the city centre this year with a 123-apartment aparthotel in the heart of the ‘golden triangle’, in the Racine district.

Also, in 2026 other Citadines will open on the African continent in Djibouti, Lagos in Nigeria and Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, in addition to the Somerset Bole Addis Ababa. But the world leader in extended-stay hotels is also expanding its offer in the Middle East, with the Ascott Villas Riyadh and Citadines City Centre Al Khobar residences in Saudi Arabia, as well as the Citadines Sharq Kuwait in Kuwait.

Waldorf Astoria brand

Up there, all the way up there. The prestigious Waldorf Astoria brand, part of the Hilton group, is taking up residence on the top floors of the Mohammed VI Tower, whose silhouette, reminiscent of a rocket on its launch pad, rises to a height of 250 metres.

Offices and luxury flats: this skyscraper, designed by architects Rafael de la Hoz and Hakim Benjelloun according to sustainable standards, is a mix of uses.

Strategically located between the Moroccan capital and the city of Salé, along the banks of the Bouregreg river, the Mohammed VI Tower will house an exclusive hotel with just 55 rooms and suites, but with a substantial MICE offering including four executive committee rooms and a ballroom of almost 1,400 m².

The largest in the Moroccan capital. The Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé will also feature a signature Peacock Alley bar and several restaurants, including one by the pool and another overseen by Alain Ducasse.

Palais Jamaï Fès

As at the Waldorf Astoria in Rabat, Alain Ducasse will be in charge of the restaurant offer at the Palais Jamaï Fès, comprising three restaurants and four bars.

A star chef for an unusual project, since it involves the renovation, begun in 2014, of a palace dating from the 19th century.e

It was first dedicated to a grand vizier of the Alaoui dynasty, then transformed into a luxury hotel in 1930, which was then sold under the Sofitel banner.

Closed for a decade, this historic site in the heart of Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital is preparing to welcome back its 63 rooms and 31 suites, including a royal suite, as well as traditional hammams and two swimming pools.

Kimpton Marrakech

The luxury and lifestyle brand Kimpton, part of the IHG group, is taking its turn in Marrakech’s hotel boom with a 67-room boutique hotel due to open at the end of the year under a franchise agreement with Sirayane Hospitality.

Located just a twenty-minute drive from the medina and the Hivernage district, with views of the Atlas Mountains, the Kimpton Marrakech will offer pleasant moments of relaxation in this setting, with its pools and restaurants, including a trendy rooftop restaurant.

Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort

Taghazout will soon be offering a new resort.

Marriott will soon be setting up on the seaside resort’s bay with a 250-room hotel featuring a contemporary design, all with a balcony or terrace overlooking the ocean.

With direct access to the beach and a host of leisure facilities, the Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort will offer a range of dining options, including a restaurant-grill and poolside bar, and a 600 m² meeting area for seminars and incentives.
